Salmon blues

Whoa... after 11 days of salmon fishing, it is just bleak out there. A handful of kings, a scattering of silvers, and a pathetic humpie or two is all that's around. Water temperatures are a tad high, but nothing that could explain the silence.

So here we are in the "primetime" of chinook fishing, and very few fish can be found. What gives? Why? How? Anyone wanna chime in with some theories?

Maybe they are a little slow coming up the coast this year? I looked at a Fort Brag California page and If I read it correctly they were doing better than expected.

Or maybe they are waiting till I get up there.

Blackfish33, have a little faith.

Maybe all the spells you cast to scare away gray whales are affecting the salmon.
